By that same token the Iranian government can be shitty and at the same time not deserve to be overthrown for the sake of imperial resource pillaging.

Or wait check this one out: The Iranian government is one of the best in the world right now and not shitty at all because they're actually the only big one materially fighting genocidal baby murderers.

Okay, I mean yes opposing a genocidal colonial regime is definitely one of the better things they've done, sure. Still not terribly good though.
