I don't feel like the current cabinet would be strongly-positioned for a theological dispute with the Pope.
Some convert joins up, and starts dissing the Pope? Just excommunicate this loser, and ban him from Heaven. Surely the Pope has that kind of power.
MAGA is virtuosically incompetent. Ultimately, that's what will save America. Unfortunately, they're doing a lot of damage along the way.

I know he's stupid and a drunk, but I don't believe for a moment he thought there was a biblical verse about aviators. They were obviously repurposing the Pulp Fiction quote for this particular pilot and his unit.

I think the issue was mixing in non-bible material, without disclosing it, during a sermon.
He should not be holding a sermon in the first place. That is the main issue. It is rather inconsequential if the goobledegook he says differs from regular sermon goobledegook.
