Yeah I just set up a new Mac Mini today and turned off anything that isn't local in Spotlight's search settings.

While I agree in principle, the user must understand that all web searches (in general, not just in this case) are going to be tracked unless explicit steps are taken.

Spotlight searching the web is stupid, though.

People were fucking deluded to think Apple doesn't sell your data. And all it took was a Magsafe port 😂
