I can tell you that the source material for the hair image is definitely not a beard. For it to have been a beard, it would either need much longer hairs starting about halfway from the top, or a chin that would make Thanos look like Michael Cera.
Yeah, they clearly used the pubic triangle to make a not very subtle point.

It being triangular in that shape and density distribution means it is clearly one and not the other.

Honestly looks too low to be a beard. Most beards start closer to the mouth.
It could be a neckbeard.
