Ask Lemmy
A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions
Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, toxicity and dog-whistling are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com.
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world or !askusa@discuss.online
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

The most wholesome and non-toxic men's space I have ever found.
Unnecessarily gendered, imo.
Non-male identifying people post there as well, I don't recall it ever being an issue.
We're all just hanging out, reorganizing closets and moving dirt around, it's pretty dull.
You have dirt? Coooool
Yes, I know. I still think making it about gender in the comm name is unnecessary.
That one has a better name. Unfortunately it appears much less often in my feed than the other one.
Everyone is welcome in the dull men's club so long as they are dull enough. It's existential.

I appreciate you guys so much! I never expected to keep your attention for so long. 😁
I've gotten to learn so much and do some pretty amazing things thanks to you all coming to hang and talk about these superb birds every day.
ahhh you got me - this is exactly what I posted looking for

mostly a quality shitposting community, but, sometimes, just a nice community.
really. just some nice people with a fucked up sense of humor. so weird.
!birding@lemmy.world is where I spend most of my time. I stay active and many others do too.
I still don't understand what that community is. I've seen it for years.
It’s just a meme shitposting page with a light trans focus. I’ve learned a decent bit about trans people/issues just from chatting with people over there.
The convention when posting is to work the word “rule” into the title as the rule of the community is you must post before leaving (which is itself just a joke).
I have no idea how my brain chemistry works, but sometimes when I'm depressed and I go to !historyartifacts@piefed.social and it seems to help a bit. It's just neat stuff I guess.
!90smusic@lemmy.world is my pet community. Basically an oldies station for Millennials.
reliving those krock 92.3 days
Heretic! We listened to kplop 92.5
89.5 WSOU!
I was surprised that so many songs in my collection weren't actually supposed to start out "schhhhhhhh K-Rock (k-rock)" lol
!dailygames@lemmy.zip because everyone needs a break and play some dailygames once in a while
The irony of all of these being on Lemmy.world, lol. :)
!anime@ani.social
Great mod, with a constant stream of discussion!
