The memification of 9/11 in the public conscience is the same thing that happened to Charlie Kirk. Predictable, spectacular blowback. The right cynically tries to wring every last bit of political value out of it -- especially to quash opposition. This is done so transparently as to invite ridicule, and suddenly you have jokes about an ostensibly serious topic everywhere.

what's the difference between a cow and 9/11?

you can't milk a cow for 24 years

I don't care much for pop art, but I do like this as deconstructive pop art. This would go on my wall for a giggle if it was free.

Mr. President the price of this place is like 9/11

Never Forget the great deal on your new home!

I would LOVE to have this piece in my gallery.

And by gallery, I mean the blank wall in front of the upstairs toilet that I’ve been looking for something to make people stare at and contemplate when they do a poo at my house and try to decide whether or not they’re brave enough to try the bidet.

Ah yes, art over toilets that makes people pause and think "that's an odd thing to be here."

This is very funny, but also deeply depressing for some reason.

[–] mayakovsky@hexbear.net 7 points 1 month ago

I'd hang that on my wall

They hung that art on the wall back in 1999.

In fact, the whole house is full of classic memes suspiciously rendered in a slightly different style but a few years before their existence & internet fame.

Do with this what you will. It's sized to 24x18" at 72dpi. I might do prints of a 300dpi one.

Idk what country you're from but I hope someone fixes that whole monarchy problem gui

[–] bourgeoisie_burgers@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago

Only benefit with a king is that you can hang the pic it in front your own throne . But yea small benefit

That single moment caught on video has always fueled my opinion that "Bush DIDN'T do 9-11," because he looks so friggin' clueless about everything. I still believe it was an inside job, and have always found ridiculous that people blame the president whenever something bad happens. As if BUSH was the one who ordered people to plant explosives in the WTC basements, as if BUSH ordered the airline pilots to smash into buildings. No, the president is just the figurehead, the spokesperson who gets all the blame for the shenanigans his underlings get up to.
