Don't become your ennemi.

I would go across the entire EU with that. Start with Orban.

That would be nice and after all the ruzzians are sent packing, we can work on kicking the orange ruzzian out of amerika

This is a bad idea that creates a bad precedent. Right now the people in charge want to get rid of people you don't like but regimes change and you may be targeted next time.

Slippery slope fallacy.

[–] mindbleach@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Hey, fuck off with that. You can't un-person someone just for saying "I agree with [country]," no matter which asshole government they're praising.

If you'd read the article, it says for persons with dual-citizenship. So the citizenship that is supposed to be revoked is acquired in addition to the "original" one.

There's no "un-personing" as you've dramatically put it.

If you support the terrorists, you have no place in the EU, and should reside in the country of your main citizenship.

So this is for dual citizens, which is at least not as problematic as making people stateless.

That said, there are other, sane solutions for this.

Imma give the Baltic States a pass on this one.

Maybe a "watch it, bubs"

You might as well condemn to death for supporting fascism

[–] GregorGizeh@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Why? Sending them back is cheaper, has a chance of causing a revolution, and if nothing else, puts these people face to face with the consequences of their own actions.

Don't want to die in the meatgrinder? Shouldn't have supported the meatgrinder operating aggressors then.

I am equating being deported to being essentially put to death here
