I am being completely honest when I say I would want Jack Black in a Pitfall movie based on the game. Jack Black was in the games commercials, so it would be a nice way to round that off.

"I........... am ~~Hairy~~ Harry!"
Almost looks like the Myst guy falling.
A Myst movie would have potential.
A movie of the first game and then a streaming series that dives into the novels and the sequels.
This exactly.
I'm gonna play it again. Thanks for reminding me. It's been decades since I last beat it so I don't remember any of the answers to the puzzles. I can go into fresh.
Theres a remaster of it now, too :)
Can't wait for the Tetris Movie.
It came out in 2023
But that was about the making of Tetris.
EDIT: Okay, more accurately it was about the distribution of the game and how it became popular.
man was it satisfying to get the treasures in that game. hopping on gators swinging on vines to get a diamond ring.
it was glorious for early 80s.
About a week ago I found out why child me could never navigate the game... The underground levels move you three screens at a time where the above ground ones move you one screen.
Nobody saying it, so I will: this poster is fucking lit 🔥
Wasn't Pitfall set in a jungle? Why does this look like some boreal forest?
......
because pitfall is a normal word and this movie wasnt about the game.
neither was the 2017 , 1962, or 1948 movie
Sorry for assuming people knew what they were talking about when they said this was an adaptation, then 🤷
First : the game you're thinking about is called "Pitfall!" (exclamation mark). There's actually another game called just Pitfall. Because it's a common word and there's a bunch of completely unrelated works (games, movies and music) using it.

Bonus round : look at all the shit Jonathan Blow adapted when he made "The Witness" in 2016:
