Norwegian here, and seriously America will you please grow a pair? I see so many left-leaning people online these days just giving up because the orange goon, who you all know can't be trusted, says there will be no more elections.
There is an expectation of an election in 26 and in 28, a process that takes place, and if that's gonna be stopped then it will require actions by Trump and his goons, not words.
Y'all gotta stop spreading this pussy-ass "There is no point in trying"-shit, and just act as if there will be an election. Then if they're brave enough to try to stop it or try to cheat or whatever, it will be obvious to the entire USA and the world what is happening, which is the point where y'all gotta head to the streets and make a goddam ruckus.
People are battling fascists all over the world, refusing to give up even when facing already implemented and stable fascist regimes.
In America, the situation's not the same. You are still a democracy, and if they decide to try and fully facilitate a transition into a fascist state, then that will be the moment where they're the most vulnerable.
Now they know that very well, which is why the best situation they can hope for is one where most Americans just give up and accept being put under total supremacy.
