the larger the bird, the more dangerous. they are brutal.
if there were a chicken the size of a tractor trailer roaming the countryside, i would live underground and only emerge to forage if i had a grenade launcher or some shit.
Ironically, pterosaurs were not birds, and birds are actually theropods.

Actually pterosaurs are in no way related to birds. They were reptiles. Ironically the T. rex is more birdlike than this creature
i, a powerful mind, have transcended the dogmatic orthodoxy of linnaean taxa and the scientism of genetics.
that is a BIRD! his name is Squawky and he wants a sleeve of crackers the size of a school bus. bawk bawk bawk!
"What is more bird-like" is more a linguistic question than a paleontological one!
How "birdlike" something is does not necesarilly boil down to genetics, but rather if it has qualities in common with birds.
In this case it could be pretty reasonably argued that this big kitty is more "birdlike" than a T-rex, despite genetic makeup saying otherwise, since this big dork looks more like a bird than most depictions of T-rexes do.
Reported for posting pterosaurs.
Also reported that one user who I'm pretty sure is a cat
got that pelican gullet but bigger than some apartments I've had
Ask him if you can live there
probably drier than some apartments I've had too
Have you seen pelicans? They try to eat everything. Imagine if they actually could
Seriously, a pelican tried to eat me once while I was trying to show my sister it was nothing to be afraid of (incorrect).
Seen one eat a pigeon. They're mad.
Noooo
Now I'm going to have to approach the next one I see... Just to be sure.
If you've ever seen a bunch of marabou storks go to town on a carcass, and transfer that to an animal the size of a giraffe, it's easy to view the largest Azdharchids as the most terrifying creatures that ever lived.
If I was teleported to dino land and saw a t-rex I'd be like "oh wow look at that big homie!" But if I saw this flying by me I'd say "AAAAAAAHHH DEMON FROM THE SKY
"
That animal is a dork and I would sooner bully it than be afraid of it. Oversized penguin ahh

Oh you think so? Imagine you're out in a field and suddenly this thing gallops towards you and swallows you whole.
Sure, it looks like a pelican got freaky with a giraffe and a bat, but it's the silliness that makes it scarier imo
Imagine you're out in a field and suddenly this thing gallops towards you and swallows you whole.

Vore has perverted this generation! Get your head of of the gutter!
dorkosaur

how did those tiny legs support that huge head???
why does it have people feet
For you to sneef

Sometimes I think about being transported to that time in history with a lightsaber...
Azhdarchids are all terrifying.
Another azhdarchid that is currently unnamed, recently discovered in Transylvania, may be the largest representative of the family thus far discovered. This unnamed specimen (nicknamed "Dracula" by paleontologists), currently on display in the Altmühltal Dinosaur Museum in Bavaria is estimated to have a wingspan of 12–20 m (39–66 ft), although similarities to the contemporary azhdarchid Hatzegopteryx have also been noted.
Evolution can get really scary sometimes
Why do they always draw dinos with bony heads? In the nature the skull is always protected with meat, fat, cartilage and skin.
I think they're going for the lizzard look, but now we know they weren't all lizzards
This isn't a dinosaur. Pteradons are a different thing, theyre just both big and lived at the same time
it's big and lizardy, which makes it a dinosaur. Phenetics 4 life.
And dinos aren't lizards either, so no reason to suppose that they have bony heads
I know, but for a long time everything was just made to look like bony lizzard. Jurassic Park didn't help
I think the idea is that they were large warm blooded creatures, and earth was hotter back then, so in order to thermoregulate they would have been leathery Like a phant or a rino instead of fluffy. The smaller ones should look like fowl, probably up to bear size.
Always amazed me that they're powerful enough to just take off from a stationary position.
The bloodshot eyes are a cool addition that make them scary.
I saw some images giving them a cool comb on their head:

They seem to weight around 200 kg so it can kill someone by just dropping down, no need to bite
They would basically just walk through tall brush swinging theyre head back and forth to scare up lil animals and then eat em
Bro just bellyflops on someone. Lazy mf
Ive seen the episode of prehistoric planet with these guys. They are scary
i put some in my park in jurassic world evolution, they didn't get along with the other flying geezers
