The price hike was to show to potential buyers that they can double prices and nobody will stop paying, so buy us up and charge what you want!

It's always bait and switch now. FOSS is the only way because the second people try this shit someone else can take over from the people trying to pull a fast one with their shit eating grins.

Being foss is not the main attractive for most people, it's the service. Vaulwarden requires a server, with can be annoying specially for new people, and keepass requires you to manage the db sync.

I don't disagree with you man, and that's the problem. FOSS is the solution, there's just no mechanism for a free or at-cost service to exist without being corrupted by the man seeking a big pile of money.
