No thousands of people, influencers, journalists, the fucking Woz wrote, called and organised online protest and petitions and forced the world’s biggest corporation to back off.
This is actually more of a !goodnewseveryone@piefed.social / !upliftingnews@lemmy.world story than boring or dystopian.
There is plenty of that going around these days, but this isn’t it. Yes, they might try again and I’m confident that they will fail each time they try to do this.
Collective action. Americans aren’t used to that, but even the fat cats at Apple recognise it when they’re up against it.

Just reading the headline, it sounds like it's gonna freeze the frame when you drop your pants so everyone on the other side can get a good look and take their screenshots.
