One of my favorite sci-fi movies.
which one? lol
there's been many movies, but only one book that they're all VERY LOOSELY based upon.
Starseeker:astroneer expeditions
For announced games, only Dragon Quest XII and Monster Hunter Wilds Ultimate really.
Also looking forward to what Xenoblade developer Monolith Software is gonna do next, but I don't plan on buying a Switch 2 anytime soon so it'll probably be a few years before I can even play that.
Noice
I like a lot of types of games. But remedy games are probably my favorite. New control game coming out this year. Control resonate It's at the top of my list. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3669870/CONTROL_Resonant/
Moonlight peaks. Basically an animal crossing like game but spooky and you can hook up with the villagers.
Also waiting for Light No Fire. Same creators as no man's sky. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2719590/Light_No_Fire/
The new Bendy game. Bendy and the ink factory. Really liked the first two though the 2nd gave me mad motion sickness. Super dark spooky theme , rubber hose style. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2613150/Bendy_and_the_Ink_Factory/?curator_clanid=44893488
Very much anticipating the new silent Hill snowfall game. I really liked the last two.

The creators of Soma have a new one coming out. Ontos.
Looks promising. Soma also gave me mad motion sickness. Hoping this new one won't. https://youtu.be/ll4ZPxUzPhc
Always nice finding a Control fan in the wild.
I have become a big Brok The InvestiGator sucker, so I am absolutely looking forward to the spin-off survival visual novel Celsius Strays.
In Brok The InvestiGator, rats are known as squealers and are banned from Atlasia, where the game takes place. That's a very minor spoiler since they're mostly a nothing burger group you basically don't see at all after the first chapter.
But in this spin-off game, which has a playable demo, you play as the chief of the squealers. The whole entire plot is centered around you making choices to help your colony survive as the hot months are coming soon. Your choices can end up getting more food, more things like bedding and clothing, machine parts to fix a water purifier thing, and I think one other thing I can't remember right now. All supplies needed for the survival of your people.
There's also a plot featuring a mystery character that is brought in during the chapter 1 demo, so I am absolutely pumped to learn about this mystery fellow and how he plays a role in what happens in chapter 1 that really kicks things in motion.
The moment I found out about it, I immediately downloaded the demo and played through it. For the most part, it feels like it has a pretty dark story with some minor comedic relief so far, with a little lighthearted moment in the end of the demo.
Ha-ha Niceβ¦
The heavily rumored Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2. Unfortunately Nintendo will probably find a way to screw it up.
You think thats coming out this year ? They are slow at everything.
My next favorite game is probably an indie I haven't heard of yet, but for publisher titles wolverine but I'll wait until it is on sale
Great pick.

Now that's a prepared fellow. And these are some sweet suggestions. Thanks @Chesckers@lemmy.zip .
Let me pin a few on my wishlist.
Hello Games' new Co-Op game Light No fire and Big Walk by House House.
It seems that Light No Fire is in development hell, unfortunately.
I guess GTA VI, too, but not really.
None, literally none. Not that I think they won't be good! It's just that there's so many great ones to play already, why waste time pining for something out of reach?
Kind of the same. Ive locked myself into my bubble and its good here. There is no new π
I'm in a very similar situation but more jaded. AI has made updating my aging system impossible which isn't a total loss because I haven't seen a new game I'm excited for since valheim.
I was dreadfully in love with nightingale, enough to buy it in early access. It's the very edge of what my system can handle. It's now no longer being developed, so I guess it will never be more than that.
I really hope this AI bubble pops soon and we get affordable parts back. I was lucky that I built my PC before all of this started but man, just buying a 1TB HDD for my Jellyfin server is draining the bank.
Oh man, I'm only just getting into home servers and I pinch my bytes harder than my pennies these days. I can not afford anything I actually need to improve my rig.
Fair point, @Nemo@slrpnk.net , tonnes of good stuff around, and honestly new games are a fortune. Was however more in an angle of what somewhat interests you, dont have to play it right away⦠(- -)
I'm sure I'll play Haunted Chocolatier but I'm spending zero time thinking about or reading about it right now.
Two games actually. Biggest Warhammer 40k titels this year, at least one is.
Dawn of war 4, planned release date 17.sept 2026. Hopefully a good successor to DOW 1 and 2. Though odd that they skipped 3.
Second one is Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000 unknown release date as of yet. It's total war game with 40k skin, not much more needed for a good game.
I came here to say the same! Good to see DoW isnβt dead and it sounds like the DoW4 devs actually understand the assignment (from what Iβve seen in interviews etc).
Iβve been a fan of TW: Warhammer for a while but the setting just doesnβt excite me as much as 40k. Iβm hoping they bring the same gameplay with a spritzing of grimdark.
Don't forget Dark Heresy, the follow-up to Rogue Trader. I don't think we have a release date yet, but winter of this year probably isn't out of the question.
I can't believe i forgot that one. Thank you. Yeah that's most definitely anticipated as well.
Great picks. Adding 40k surely to my radar.
I was really looking forward to Transport Fever 3. Until they announced a publishing partnership with Paradox Interactive... I had trust in the developing studio and was prepared to look past some issues on launch but I just don't trust Paradox. So now it really depends on how the launch goes and whether they keep their promises.
I'm interested to see how Wolverine is. And there's supposed to be a 2D Castlevania game coming soon that's looking good. I'm kinda interested in the Metal Gear collection, but I doubt I'll pay full price for any of these. Everybody seems excited about 007 and GTA6 but idk how much I'll care about those.
I usually discover games well after everybody has moved on from them. I don't really bother keeping up with gaming news anymore. I just get stuff on sale and enjoy them later. A lot of bugs are usually fixed by then too. I'm just now starting Star Wars Outlaws and it's fine. Only a couple of minor bugs so far, and it's fun enough I guess.
Oh yeah, the 2d Castlevania, looked great. We'll surely play it. ππΎ
The Wayward realms!
It's supposed to be a spiritual successor to daggerfall made from some of the original elder scrolls team members, unfortunately one of which recently passed away.
Still have until the 1st to back their Kickstarter and get alpha access next month.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1685310/The_Wayward_Realms/
I'll probably catch some hate for this one, but also Squadron 42 from the not so loved star citizen devs. Seeing what star citizen can do when it's working though has me pretty excited to see what a single player game, that doesn't rely on servers that are perpetually on fire, will be like.
I know Paralives is in early access, but I'm watching it for now!
Already bought it myself, but waiting for a few bugfixes before I dive in.
Noice...
At Fate's End looks beautiful and if Spiritfarer is any indication, it's going to have a tearjerker story that warms the heart.
Other than that The Adventured of Elliot looks promising for a modern JRPG.
I saw it at Summer Games Fest last year. I participated in the closed beta playtest. My body is ready.
Wow, yeah now thatβs a good looking one, great eye.
