I thought it was top, like you could mail in part of a cereal box for a toy, and that song implied philosophy was equally frivolous and scammy.
That song was lame, and incorrect.
I think we read into art what we think it means. I love the song, and think it's pretty deep.
100% support liking songs lol. Better to scrape and fight for a song than lay down for an anthem. Just talking out my ass right now.

@NichEherVielleicht Philosophy is telling the scientist how to use a 'flashlight' in the first place and this whole setup is metaphysics. Even a theologist would know that.
Science is undergirded by philosophy. You don’t do science without first having done philosophy.
Science is more like having a laser pointer. Through careful application and repetition, you could technically infer something about the location of the cat. But the cat moves around constantly and doesn't like you being there, and you only have limited time to do it, because the funding for your cat-finding project is about to run out.
I'd say instead of just "using a flashlight", you're "following a plan in which the first step is to get a flashlight." And you're fine if you're wrong and there wasn't a cat there in the first place

As a metaphysics guy, my only question is “then what the fuck is yowling and scratching at my legs.”

I do love me some high powered flashlights. For close quarters I'd probably use one of my flooders. Maybe my Acebeam E75 with the 519a or my Wurkkos TS22 with the 5000K XHP70.3 HI
Also, I'm not really religious, but I've had some expiriences that make me believe Jesus is real. Exactly what kind of influence he has over our plain of existance isn't exactly clear, but it's probably not much. Be a good person, because it's the right thing to do, don't cause harm to others, treat others the way you would like to be treated
