Outages are cause for celebration- the day it goes down for good will be a holiday.

F Elon and the felon.

[–] chainysawrs@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Oh my god, this just struck me while reading your last line, but is Elon’s name really pronounced “Ellen” and he’s just tried to convince everyone it’s “E-lawn”?

Like on Mythic Quest where Ian convinced everyone his name is pronounced “eye-on”

[–] taladar@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

No, sorry, English pronunciation is just completely fucked all on its own.

[–] chainysawrs@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

I wasn’t being serious.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

"Eye-on" would be pronounced the same as "ion," a charged particle. It was more like "eye-in."

There was fire reported in one data center of Musk reported by Wired a couple of days ago...

1 fire took down twitter globally?
That's some great streamlining that Musk has done.
