What's the implication on the use of e-sims? Right now I'm an enjoyer of using Cheogram with one of those vacation e-sim providers. It provides me with 30 days of cheap data, and then Cheogram gives me a number for voip and texting. This seems like it would tank the vacation e-sim market in the US.

A lot of eSIMs are not from the country they sell you them for. I've used hong kong based ones to get around annoying registration issues in other countries. They just roam.

The "privacy nightmare" that is literally already the case in most of the rest of the world since 10+ years.

I totally get why people are concerned about is, but the ignorance at display is quite astonishing.
