I swear every thread has the same 100 people in it so my upvote counter is pretty high for most people. Wondering what it’s at for other people on Lemmy. You tell me my vote count and I’ll tell you what I have for you :)

Yea, users don't often realize that the nature of federation means nothing is private.

This is the option under User Tags? What does Store Source Link mean?

[–] MoonlightFox@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

Can someone do me? 😄 I am super curious

[–] madjo@feddit.nl 45 points 1 week ago (3 children)

You guys are getting upvotes?

[–] bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de 9 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

You're actually now a +6 for me.

[–] NotSteve_@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 week ago

You’re at +23 for me!

TIL that’s a thing. It wasn’t even turned on for me

[–] NotSteve_@lemmy.ca 34 points 1 week ago

Yeah! It’s fun but definitely exposes that the average comment section is mostly made up of the same people.

I have you at +2

First time I read about that feature. It seems it starts counting only after you enable it, unfortunately.

[–] NotSteve_@lemmy.ca 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Aw yeah, that makes sense. I have you at +1 before this comment

[–] Thaurin@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

Yeah, I just enabled it after reading this!

[–] slazer2au@lemmy.world 33 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Zero because the setting is off.

[–] NotSteve_@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 week ago

Aw. I have you at +33 though!

[–] limerod@reddthat.com 28 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Where do you enable this setting?

[–] JackGreenEarth@lemm.ee 19 points 1 week ago (1 children)
[–] limerod@reddthat.com 23 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Interesting such a feature exists in voyager. If I hadn't seen this post I never would've found it even if I used voyager for years.

[–] alucard@sopuli.xyz 5 points 1 week ago

Thank you for pointing it out!

[–] nimble@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Use voyager -> Settings-> user tags -> track votes

[–] ApollosArrow@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

Thank you. I should update my apps more often.

[–] RedditAdminsSuckIt@lemmy.world 26 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

I’m new here. What am I looking for?

Edit: Found it. Everyone is at 0 because it wasn’t enabled. That’s a fun feature

[–] nimble@lemmy.blahaj.zone 29 points 1 week ago (3 children)

If you use voyager (app to access lemmy) then you can go to settings -> user tags -> track votes and turn it on. It will then show a running counter next to people's names for the total number of upvotes/ downvotes you've given someone.

Welcome to lemmy!

[–] SpatchyIsOnline@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago

Ooh, that is neat! I've been using Lemmy for months and didn't know this was a thing. You're my first tracked upvote now :)

Didn't realise this was a feature. Just enabled it.

You are at +1 now.

Edit: +4 after reading the comments. I'm a prolific upvoter.

[–] Seasoned_Greetings@lemm.ee 6 points 1 week ago

Too bad it's not retroactive, but it seems cool to at least start

[+1]

[–] NotSteve_@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)
[–] khannie@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Not too shabby!

[–] datavoid@lemmy.ml 15 points 1 week ago (3 children)

I have you at +1 now, and added a "Probably Steve" tag for good measure

I have the feature enabled, but I don't have any vote history for you.

[–] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Well +1 now. Dang that's a cool feature

Do you mean upvotes on this post? I'm old and confused

[–] grrgyle@slrpnk.net 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It's a feature of the Voyager app, a type of user "tags" that adds the number of times you've upvoted someone next to their username, like so

thats a really cool feature, and had no idea it existed. +1

[–] neidu3@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

0, because I hadn't enabled the option before now.

And just like that you're +1

[–] bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Oh, hey, it's the prolific Norwegian tagger at +23. Hi!

+2 with no tags. Sunshine probably has the highest at 300ish since they've pretty much posted most of the content on c/Canada recently.

I'm pretty glad AEHarding ended picking up my feature request on GitHub for this since there was pretty much zero takers(had a rather odd convo with the Sync dev) when I brought it up during the early Lemmy days.

[–] bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)
[–] NotSteve_@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 week ago

Ayy nice. You’re at +26 for me lol

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Just enabled that feature, so everyone is at 0
