Damn! When can we get this kind of justice? In the US they would have given the owner another store, maybe even two.

Don’t be ridiculous! That’s not how the U.S. works.

We would vote him in as a senator and allow him to make labor laws.

Her father said two of the three drinks she was accused of “stealing” were about to be thrown out.

Too many places throw out perfectly good food and that should be a crime.

There's an app "too good to go" that lets you buy some discounted food at EOD, and there's probably other similar things out there.

Where I used to work at a supermarket, I made friends with the deli guy and got a lot of food before it was thrown out. Management didn't like it, of course.

Fuck too good to go, it ruined the life of many people. What was previously free food you'd just get by asking for it in shops or by looking in the trash bins is now being charged money for.

I know plenty people who are having a harder time because of this.

I mean, I imagine there's still a window where you can ask for it for free, but you make an interesting point. For many people, it has lowered their cost of food. I'm not sure all of them could have found free food as easily.

People who can afford paying internet on their phone are largely unaffected by what I'm describing.

Also withheld wages from 49 workers. Impressive.
