is it necessary to say robot? Because robot implies a humanoid when most of these are automatic machines for cleaning, sorting, manufacturing. They're amazing don't get me wrong but calling them robot is a stretch into clickbait.

An android is a human-shaped robot.
A robot is anything with a delineated body that has discrete controls or programming for the behavior of its movable parts. Cleaning and sorting and manufacturing machines are in the domain of robotics; they are robots.
