Six-seven is already outdated, too.
Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
Rules
-
π Be Nice!
- Treat others with respect and dignity. Friendly banter is okay, as long as it is mutual; keyword: friendly.
-
ποΈ Community Standards
- Comics should be a full story, from start to finish, in one post.
- Posts should be safe and enjoyable by the majority of community members, both here on lemmy.world and other instances.
- Any comic that would qualify as raunchy, lewd, or otherwise draw unwanted attention by nosy coworkers, spouses, or family members should be tagged as NSFW.
- Moderators have final say on what and what does not qualify as appropriate. Use common sense, and if need be, err on the side of caution.
-
𧬠Keep it Real
- Comics should be made and posted by real human beans, not by automated means like bots or AI. This is not the community for that sort of thing.
-
π½οΈ Credit Where Credit is Due
- Comics should include the original attribution to the artist(s) involved, and be unmodified. Bonus points if you include a link back to their website. When in doubt, use a reverse image search to try to find the original version. Repeat offenders will have their posts removed, be temporarily banned from posting, or if all else fails, be permanently banned from posting.
- Attributions include, but are not limited to, watermarks, links, or other text or imagery that artists add to their comics to use for identification purposes. If you find a comic without any such markings, it would be a good idea to see if you can find an original version. If one cannot be found, say so and ask the community for help!
-
π Post Formatting
- Post an image, gallery, or link to a specific comic hosted on another site; e.g., the author's website.
- Meta posts about the community should be tagged with [Meta] either at the beginning or the end of the post title.
- When linking to a comic hosted on another site, ensure the link is to the comic itself and not just to the website; e.g.,
β Correct: https://xkcd.com/386/
β Incorrect: https://xkcd.com/
-
π¬ Post Frequency/SPAM
- Each user (regardless of instance) may post up to five (5 π) comics a day. This can be any combination of personal comics you have written yourself, or other author's comics. Any comics exceeding five (5 π) will be removed.
-
π΄ββ οΈ Internationalization (i18n)
- Non-English posts are welcome. Please tag the post title with the original language, and include an English translation in the body of the post; e.g.,
SΓ, por favor [Spanish/EspaΓ±ol]
- Non-English posts are welcome. Please tag the post title with the original language, and include an English translation in the body of the post; e.g.,
-
πΏ Moderation
- We are human, just like most everybody else on Lemmy. If you feel a moderation decision was made in error, you are welcome to reach out to anybody on the moderation team for clarification. Keep in mind that moderation decisions may be final.
- When reporting posts and/or comments, quote which rule is being broken, and why you feel it broke the rules.
Banned Artists
The following artists are banned from the community.
- Jago
- Stonetoss
- GPrime85
It should be noted that when you make reports, it is your responsibility to provide rational reasoning why something should be removed. Saying it simply breaks community rules is not always good enough.
Web Accessibility
Note: This is not a rule, but a helpful suggestion.
When posting images, you should strive to add alt-text for screen readers to use to describe the image you're posting:
Another helpful thing to do is to provide a transcription of the text in your images, as well as brief descriptions of what's going on. (example)

I have no idea how but this 6-7 shit arrived in France, I hear kids saying it (in French) and I don't understand why.
Why? Because other kids say it. And they say it because the cool kids said it. And the cool kids picked it if from some cool adult that used it once because they thought it was funny.
Yup, still a thing for kids here in Hungary as well. Except they usually say it "Tizen-hΓ‘rom" because it fits the sound better and is.... 6+7.
Well I hear it in France too, but in English.
Even they don't undestand why. It's just group behavior to feel "cool" because others don't understand them and feel ashamed for it
I thought so, too. Then I remembered that I thought that "E" was funny as fuck back in 2018.. I think that dadaism is just funny to some kids/teens(or in my case some adults..)
23 skidoo
And yet kids are still saying it constantly.
Around here we know how to make that stop, and that's to have our grandmas (not theirs) start saying 67 at the kids. When a 90 year old woman is laughing about your slang and using it badly at you, it's time for new slang.
I just reply 8-9 in my best B52s voice. My kids hate it.
Damn it! Why is Mimi so relatable?
We all have a Mimi in us
I, for one, am still amused by big chungus.
Big chungus goes brrrrr.
I saw a couple kids running around shouting "67" at each other the other day while walking my dog and it took all my strength not to do the hand gesture and start laughing.
Awh, I'd have done it. Feels great to be the weird/funny adult.
I bump into kids a lot when I'm out with my dog, partially because the area I live in is very family focused, but also because one of our frequent walk paths takes us by a K-9 school. I'm really nervous around people, but I try not to be when kids want to interact. Sometimes it leads to good teaching moments, and sometimes they just want to be seen.
I feel like I get along with kids better than adults. Kids just wanna be silly and have fun. I can do silly. Adults get awkward and uncomfortable, like they have to remember how to do it and then are too busy being embarrassed to enjoy it
Mimi, I hate to tell you, but this is a sign of getting old.
As someone else once said, "67" is the new "E"
Wtf is a E?
This thing that was funny some years ago.

Allegedly.
IDK Farqaud photoshopped with a suit with Markipliers face is pretty amusing.
Also auto correct includes Markiplier which is mildly horrifying.
I...thought it was highly stylized Weird Al.
Nah its a later evolution of some old Markiplier screenshots that were being tossed around as reaction images. No clue how it got to the E meme but that type of shit tends to happen amongst friends or specific communities before breaching containment so who knows.
Other comment is also correct, but it also in my experience was tangentially related to Rush E by sheet music boss. (Which is just a fire song regardless) https://youtu.be/Qskm9MTz2V4?is=DevaE10ctyGIXXEn Source was in high school in 2018. Also yes I was a band kid how could you tell?
Big Chungus is like 6-7 years old now.
"Six Seven" is the hypothetical scenario where a Deadlock team would be entirely composed of the hero Seven.
Since that would be unbeatable, having multiples of a hero is thankfully banned.
Six Seven cannot hurt you.
It's a reference to the Toronto Maple Leafs' decades-long failure to win a Stanley Cup.
Ugghhh imaging them all ulting at once.
Spy says Big Chungus isn't funny.
edit: Guys, I hate AI as much as the next guy, but this is literally a SFM shitpost about big chungus. Y'all are taking yourselves way too seriously.
Eww. AI voices
people need to learn the art of audio spicing again
And it is an art. Matching lip flaps to audio is hard as fuck.
In their defense, I'm pretty sure this is from the early days of generative AI, when it was just a fun novelty
Fair enough. I still use waifu2x (self hosted) despite being AI.
