The overton window has shifted so much again that the former political 'enemy' of greens and leftists somewhat morphed into an ally for representative democracy, rule of law and dare I say 'international cooperation'?
Trump II is such a strong external shock that the idea of the populous center party in proportional representation is becoming weirder and weirder (German example: How can Söder or Linnemann and Merkel or Günther exist in the same political party?).
