Congrats! I enjoy my drinks a little more than I should, it's hard to get past that feeling of "I'm bored, a few beers would be nice". Seriously, good for you, I'm happy you finally beat it!

Nicotine is hard because it doesn't have such a strong effect on your life the way alcohol does and it's (mostly) accepted as a vice that isn't that big of a deal. No one at work is gonna judge you for having a vape/smoke break like they would if they smelled alcohol on your breath for example. It doesn't make you hungover, or irritable, or tired because you stayed up to late etc. It simply becomes a part of your daily routine and that's the hardest part about giving it up. I've been addicted to nicotine for 15 years now, 6 on smokes and 9 on vaping. Almost half my life at this point. I've tried 5 times to quit and I've never been able to make it past a week.

I literally said it's bad. I agree, in an ideal world no one would be smoking or vaping or drinking etc the list goes on and on.

We don't live in an ideal world.

If I could go back in time and stop my dumbass 16 year old self from smoking, I would. I'm just sick of dipshits like you acting all high and mighty because you don't have an addiction and don't understand how hard it is to get off nicotine.

Let people live their lives as they want and mind your own god damn business man. Not that hard.

Yes vaping is worse than not vaping. Its bad. I like them anyway.

Why don't you take your judgemental attitude and fuck right off bud.

"How dare you not live life the way I think you should!!!"

Christ you people are so annoying.

Grab em by the intellectual property! When you're a multi-billion dollar corporation, they just let you do it!

Even as a Canadian, I honestly prefer the cheap butter flavored syrup. I grew up on that stuff and I fucking love it so much. Real maple syrup is still delicious but I'll always choose some good old butter flavored syrup.

F-droid is something I genuinely enjoy browsing through, reminds me of the early days of Android 2.0-2.3 when I actually enjoyed using and customising my phone.

I miss the old days of phones being fun and looking forward to both hardware and software upgrades.

Nah, it's more of a grey-ish when it used to be white. Only better pillow I've ever used is one of those fancy ones with memory foam and cooling gel on the top that my ex had. That was an amazing pillow.

I have a feather pillow, a regular thick pillow that you would find in most hotels, and a body pillow but I always go back to my ancient thin pillow for my head. Everything else gives me a sore neck and I can't stomach paying 150+ CAD for a fancy pillow when my old faithful works just fine to this day.

The rest of my pillows are hugging pillows, and that's the best use I've found for thicker pillows.

And then there's me, using the same ancient, flat, worn out pillow since 2007. You can only have it by prying it from my cold dead body. I fuckin love that thing, I've tried many pillows since then but I always go back to my good old faithful.

Yep, I frequently hear people bitching about the state of things in Canada and someone almost always follows up with "eh it could be worse, at least we're not murican"

Fuck murica.

16k posts and 2 comments. Wtf even is that account.

As in, what's the evolutionary reason for this? I can get seeing dogs as cute because they probably helped early humans by being "guards" essentially and they're just great companions in general, but what purpose does a cat have for example? All they want is food, and you get nothing in return except a cute cat to look at. Hell, even bear cubs are adorable and they'll eventually turn into something that can kill you with one swipe.

Why do we find animals that are or will grow into dangerous creatures cute? What reason does this serve?
