Yeah, but if you are at work, do you really NEED to know when it's done? And when your at home, can't you just check it? Or even just listen to hear if it's still running? Mine lets off a loud buzz when the cycle is over anyway.

WiFi in a washer/dryer is the solution to a problem nobody has.

I know of that happening, too. A few years ago, a guy near here was killed by a bullet on New Years Eve. After an investigation, they determined that it came from the sky, from some moron firing his gun on New Years Eve.

Mythbusters did a piece on the lethality of shooting guns into the air. If you shoot it straight up, and it falls straight down, air friction will reduce it's terminal velocity, make it tumble, and while it would hurt you, it probably wouldn't kill you.

The problem is that it is nearly impossible to fire it straight up. It is almost always going to be in some sort of arc, so it is never really in a position for terminal velocity, friction, and tumbling to mitigate its lethality. So it just travels normally, and eventually hits someone.

Yep, dryers are easy. Washers are more complicated, with the water and all. Still, if the problem is that it's just dead, then it's probably a circuit board issue.

"Oh, it was last night, and YOU are still here? Sorry, buddy, that sucks. Well, not for me, I wasn't expecting it. I'm just happy that we'll have fewer arrogant self-righteous Karens."

Don't forget the annual renewal fee, by automatic withdrawal. Make it expensive, and do it just before Christmas.

That sounds like a nice little grift to get into. Usually I have to reject these ideas because I have a moral compass, but I might be able to ignore it to fleece gullible MAGA religious freaks. I don't mind separating the money from racist, pedophile traitors.

Every time the rapture doesn't happen they seem more convinced that it will happen in the future.

That has to be some sort of Logical Fallacy. If the rapture hasn't happened yet, then it stands to reason that it must happen in the future. That part isn't in doubt, it's the actual date that is controversial.

I mean, assuming you believe the rapture is real in the first place. You have to make that illogical leap first.

I just realized...GOD is in the Epstein Files. Oh, it all makes so much sense now!

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 18 points 7 months ago

Sure, okay, whatever, just release the Epstein Files. I'm not religious, like at all, but if that's what it takes, I'm fine with it.

Really? That's how you choose to debate? By inventing unrealistic scenarios that have likely never occured, or ever will occur? Wouldn't an indoor firing range have regulations and code requirements that would keep a bullet from going through a wall and hitting someone outside?

That's like wondering if the rule would apply if an alien spaceship fired a space laser, and deflected the bullet to hit someone, would the shooter still be responsible?

No, Skippy, in that case, probably not. You got me there, I guess you win the entire argument that ALL gun users are taught they they are 100% responsible for the path of their bullet.

Not if you are a MAGA, where have you been? There are no consequences for MAGAs.
