There’s plenty of narcissists that know they’re narcissists, and there’s therapy tools to help them participate in the world in a more healthy manner, but as you sorta indicated, it’s very rare any want to, and even more rare than any actively go down that path, so seeing someone speaking as if they’re struggling with it internally without seeing any sign of having already developed those tools makes it highly unlikely they’re legit. Probably just regular old mental illness of some sort, maybe attention seeking coupled with drug use and emotional instability. Wonder if they’re single, that’s right up my alley.
It was very telling when Megan Kelly recently said she was shocked that the corruption was worse than she expected. Expected. They knew he was a liar, cheat, fraudster, abuser.. they wanted to weaponize him against people they hate, and the economic pain and other worsenings were just the price they were willing to pay to get that.
So tired of local officials that are so disdainful of protests against their corrupt actions that they’ve willingly and gleefully gone into the ridiculously cartoonish fascism part of capitalism that all the books warned us about. Sorry you don’t like the people who show up to your town halls and city planning meetings, but your job is to listen and if you don’t like it, go be corrupt somewhere else, there’s obviously plenty of options.
