The entire staff of the Defense Digital Service (DDS), the Pentagon’s decade-old technology development office, is leaving by the start of May, with nearly all individuals resigning, a current member of the office confirmed to The Hill on Tuesday.

The mass exodus, first reported by Politico, means the service will effectively shutter in less than a month.

I'm laughing real hard because I was also attracted by the thumbnail and clicked.

But -- I hope others don't follow suit and make sharing content look like time square with motion everywhere.

Microsoft is gradually rolling out the AI-powered Windows Recall feature to Insiders in the Release Preview channel before making it generally available to all Windows users with Copilot+ PCs.

Recall is an opt-in Windows feature that screenshots active windows every few seconds, analyzes them, and allows Windows 11 users to search text within the snapshots using natural language.

As the Windows Insider Program Team said on Thursday, Recall can be paused whenever needed and will only allow access to the data it captures after authenticating via Windows Hello.

On Saturday, top trade officials from Japan, South Korea and China held their first trilateral economic dialogue in over five years, before stating their intention to enhance economic and trade cooperation with a view to signing a "free, fair, comprehensive, high-quality and mutually beneficial" free trade agreement in the near future.

Why It Matters

The agreement between three of Asia's largest economies comes as countries brace for the impact of Trump's tariffs, set to impact numerous sectors and nations across the continent and worldwide. The timing suggests that the president's overhaul of America's trading practices, while intended to rehome manufacturing in the U.S. and amend historic trade imbalances, could have the secondary effect of fostering closer cooperation between America's allies and those conventionally considered its economic rivals.

This is terrifying. Anybody can pretend to be ICE and kidnap in broad daylight.

One of the men goes for her phone. The other grabs at her hands. Ozturk screams. Shock and fear ripple through her voice. Two masked women join them, tugging at her backpack, peeling the straps from her shoulders. “I’m going somewhere, I need to call someone,” she pleads. “We’re the police. Relax,” one of the men says in response.

They surround her. Then, one by one, they pull their neck gaiters up to cover their faces. “You don’t look like police,” a voice off screen says. “Why are you hiding your faces?” The questions continue, but the figures don’t respond. Instead, they cuff Ozturk, cross the street, and put her in an unmarked SUV. She is gone.

While I would consider this feature to be helpful, I'm still a bit hesitant to introduce more AI into my day-to-day life. At least, I want AI features to be optional tools that I can disable at my discretion. In this case, it appears that Gmail's AI search tool will be optional. You will have the freedom to select the classic Most recent search filter, and sift through messages yourself.

I understand what they're saying.

I'm going to assume they can photgraph you the moment you walk into the airport.

I used to be extra during the TSA body scan BS. And honestly, I felt like they won.
