That it’s true agenda is finally out?

I think a thing this highlights is a moral line. With piracy now being easier and ubiquitous, and a clear alternative to orgs monopolizing and ignoring their user base. I think the one thing they are overlooking is the moment someone does it once. The moment they install something like stremio and realise how effortless it is the org has lost a user. Not even because of cost, but because they have taken advantage of the user...so its fair game to take advantage back.

I used to eat MacDonald's...usually took the kids say fortnightly, and one day i just didn't because it got crap and expensive. One you step over the line and they lose you, they lose you.

A distinction here is what is being sold to us. A disc is 'goods' where are sold the product under the assumption of ownership.

What is actually being given is a service!

We want ownership of a good, not rent of a service and digital via sony/Xbox is the latter.

Pretty decent tutorial.

The disc at this stage is somewhat symbolic, its the line that sand against the anti consumer practices being pushed by the platforms.

We have trusted them and during that they have:

  • They have sleptwalked users into accepting digital over physical.
  • They have infiltrated many areas of game production and monopolized
  • They have normalised subscriptions for many areas of gameplay....

And now they are getting pretty bold of what they want.

  • You will have to verify your identity
  • The products you 'bought' can be taken away from you at the platforms discretion
  • You will have to be online to play the products you purchased...and you will need to pay for that service.
  • They can charge what they want for the games and there is no competition to weaken prices
  • You will pay more for your device with less features

They are testing the tolerance with this. This is not about the physical disc. Its about saying enough!

Yep, the amount of acceptance is disheartening. i hope those console gamers keep taking it so pcs still have a tad of affordability.

This is what i am hoping. Windows is still MS and their anti gaming bull.

He’s been getting into some beefs lately. They seem to be more from the side of others.

The 2027 bingo board gonna be wild. I am hoping we will see the pope vrs tech vampire mma style fight.

Even better if some legend made a copywrited song called Meta glasses users are arseholes. and it becomes the tune that lingers around these people.

If you saw someone wearing them and you started playing a copywrited song would that make them not able to publish the content?

Yes. I just think the concept is more imagined as a sentient entity making an error rather than overconfidence or incompetence with the tool at hand.

And of course we all know it will be used as a scapegoat regardless. Question is what’s the magic number of humans lost to confidence in the machine ratio, before pushback occurs. It sounds horrific even typing it.
