Also I would reccomend reading a bit of their documentation on their website. I uses Graphene and I reccomend it, but it wasn't exactly a painless transition for me. It was worth it though.

Used 8a's and 9a's are relatively cheap. 7 Is okay but I would try to get a newer one for a longer update cycle. I've heard 6's and older have battery issues, so maybe stay away from those ones.
No problem. It makes me happy to see more people turn away from big tech so I try to help when I can.
