💯

Life saving surgery in terms of an abortion is when the mother could die if she doesn’t have an abortion. The first link I found says that less than 2% of abortions are for the mothers physical health or life saving: https://www.hli.org/resources/why-women-abort/

Saying abortion is “life saving surgery” is pretty much a complete lie. Only in very, very rare circumstances is it true. Pro-abortion lobbyists and activists need to stop using it as an argument and focus more on how it can ruin a child and parents lives if it’s an unwanted pregnancy, because that is something that is plainly evident for all to see. The chances of anyone on here even knowing someone who has had to have a “life saving” abortion is next to nil.

Nvidia are currently selling 95% of the consumer gpus that are sold, and have been for a long time.

Steam hardware surveys also aren’t good for getting exact numbers either. They’re good for trends and big picture stuff, like “Nvidia gpus are the overwhelming favourite among steam users”, but 80% in there could be 60% or 90% in the full world - and we know from sales numbers it’s not the former.

The reality is that if you don’t want to risk getting attacked by a shark, dont swim in the ocean - or at least be very picky about where you swim.

The ocean is their home, and we’re their tasty treats that every now and then they’ll indulge in.

Pulling numbers out of thin air

No, 95% is Nvidia market share.

20%+ difference is massive. 10% is massive to many pc players.

and so are lots of people

Just a drop in the ocean compared to the number of people who are happy gaming on windows, and these differences are making sure that Linux isn’t gaining any significant ground. Nvidia may as well be the only player in the GPU market, and with how poorly their gpus work on Linux, it’s a huge problem for Linux.

It’s set at the user level, being able to log on to the computer with a current account means nothing.

What a load of bullshit, sorry but it has to be said - especially with regards to Gabe Newell lol. Have a look at the net worth of everyone that works at valve.

I’m not sure neuralink could be considered a “fuck up”? It’s the closest thing we have to legit magic.

Those 2 things - being arrested, having ADHD - are completely irrelevant to each other. Should they also screen everyone they detain for skin cancer?

Missing a bit of context from the article, clickbait headlines tend to do that (not aimed at OP but at the article writer):

The person uploaded a bunch of AI training data to his Google drive account. That training data has CSAM in it.

Like it or not, he uploaded CSAM to his Google drive account, which is why his account was banned. Will they unban him? Maybe, but doing so would give pedos a loophole to let them upload CSAM to Google drive without getting banned - just claim it’s AI training data.

Admins can’t just log in to your Microsoft teams account, or your entra/365 account.

It did, maybe still does.

So if you can’t tell, why does it matter? People that do that do it for the attention you give them. If you’re not giving them any attention because they’re blocked, they go away.

This is my first time using ArkOS - are there any settings changes that people always make first when setting up a device with it? What GUI do you like? Can you download different ones?

I've recently moved from using my PC to emulate retro games to a R36S (game boy style but with 2 analogue sticks as well) handheld and have fallen in love with having them in a portable device.

I'm looking at purchasing a bigger and much newer and more powerful device so was looking for advice on things like what the pros and cons of some popular devices are, what OS people prefer, what emulators people use, etc. My R36S is running ArkOS which is ok.

I'm thinking a clamshell device would be nice, but a Switch-style would be fine as long as the controls aren't too snug. As close to "full size" analogue sticks would be ideal too, I hate and can't get used to tiny ones like on this R36S or sliders like on the 3DS.

Don't really have a set budget. Would like to be able to emulate up to and including Wii U via Dolphin if possible, but I know that's pushing it. PS2 or DC level would be acceptable too. Alternatively a really good "up to and including PS1" device would be an option.

Some that I've seen that look good:

  • Retroid Flip 2

  • Anbernic RG556 (I think the 557 isn't getting very good reviews)

  • Retroid Pocket 5

  • Anbernic RG Arc (because the Megadrive 6 button controller is the GOAT of the 8/16 bit generations.

  • Anbernic RG CubeXX
