As for why this law exists at all, well it’s actually to the benefit of law enforcement: the idea is that immigrant communities are more likely to cooperate with law enforcement if they aren’t scared that they will be the target of immigration control.
Only illegal immigrants are scared of immigration control. Handicapping law enforcement doesn't benefit law enforcement lol.
So in your opinion, infinite doesn't exist? If you can keep printing money whenever you want, no, the amount of currency in existence is not finite. What is the limit of how much of a currency can be created? What is the limit of USD? If it's finite then you should be able to answer.

Drinking wise I’ve done my fair share, but have never been anywhere close to a drink multiple times a week or go out and get blackout drunk person. The last 10-15 years when I decided to get serious about my health as I got older I basically stopped altogether, though I’ll have a celebratory drink or stick when catching up with mates here or there.
My body and my bank account are much happier and healthier.
