Spoiler, the us isn’t at war

Ok so you disagree with them invoking the act that legally allows them to deport these gang members. Now we're getting somewhere, and now we can see why you believe that "due process" wasn't followed.

It isn’t though. You know what happened.

What happened is what I said happened. If you disagree, feel free to explain what you think happened. If you don't/can't, then we'll assume that you agree with what I said happened.

I’m gonna keep enjoying having a party in power that wants better for people and actually has the ability to do it as opposed to the liberal party who doesn’t give two shits about anyone who isn’t a mining boss.

Unfortunately for you you're also going to have to enjoy having a party in power that wants higher inflation, ever increasing house prices, ever increasing power bills, and ever increasing cost of living, because that's what their policies create.

Don't get me wrong - I didn't want the LNP to win either. The LNP are just Labor-lite, with an absolute spud for a leader (at least that will be changed now!). I've literally never voted for the LNP. Didn't this time either.

The NDIS is a great thing, but is horribly mismanaged and absolutely fraud central. What is going on with the NDIS is not sustainable and needs to be investigated and brought back under control. Again - huge fan of the idea of the NDIS, not a fan of how it has played out.

Medicare was never going to be cut btw.

but it’s objective fact that one of the major parties tends to work to help people and actually run the country and the other one has the economic management skills of a dead, half rotten mouse while generally making life worse for almost everyone.

This is far from "objective fact" though lol. Again - cost of living has been out of control under labor because of labors policies. The housing crisis is in large part due to Labors insane record levels of immigration. The much vaunted "economic management skills" haven't been seen for years at this point. When do they rear their head? The pattern has always been the LNP save money, the ALP spend it, rinse and repeat. Now they're both just trying to outspend each other.

I’m dismissing your arguments because you either have no idea about what the parties do, or you are actively being misleading.

I can say the same thinga bout your arguments, if you actually presented any that is.

Do you admit that the "affordable housing investment" was all a lie that resulted in absolutely nothing? Or are you still going to blame "fox news sources"?

Have our power bills gotten $275 cheaper from what they were in 2022 like promised by Albo? Or have they pretty much tripled since then?

Most Call of Duty games work on linux, you’re gonna have to be more specific as to which particular one of like 25 you mean by ‘COD’.

I was more specific - I said COD MP as in multiplayer, as in the current COD Multiplayer that people play, which all have anti-cheat that doesn't work on Linux. Warzone, again, doesn't work on Linux.

The ones that don’t, they don’t work because the devs are too lazy or incompetent (or specifically told not to by their bosses) to make an AntiCheat that isn’t a rootkit with full access to your entire PC.

Because without full access to your PC, anti-cheat is essentially useless and easily bypassed by cheaters.

I used to play GTA V Online (and RDR2, and FiveM, and RedM…) on linux all the time, literally for years… untill they just decided to ban all linux players.

Because of cheaters.

Kernel Anti Cheat that only works on Windows?

Yep, that’s just a complicated way to enforce Windows exclusivity in PC games.

It's also one of the only ways to try to stop cheaters.

The idea that all linux gamers are malicious hackers is a laughable, obviously false idea

That's not an idea that anyone is saying though, other than you right now. The idea is that without that kernel level protection you can't even hope to stop a high percentage of cheats.

You are right that you can’t run games with rootkit anticheats on linux though, so if those heavily monetized and manipulative games with toxic playerbases are your addiction of choice, yep, sorry, linux ain’t your hookup for those.

So like I said, the most popular, most played games on every platform (apart from linux) every year.

Again, this is another game platform freedom advocacy issue, and also a personal information security advocacy issue, not a ‘something is wrong with linux’ issue.

It is a "something is wrong with linux" issue if Linux doesn't allow/provide for something that game developers - and game players - want, which is anti-cheat that does the absolute best it can to stop cheaters.

Also every Playstation (and Xbox) game eventually comes to PC, so unless you’re so impatient that you have to play the latest games right fucking now, there’s no reason to own a console.

This isn't true yet (the games thing). Playstation haven't brought or even suggested that they'll bring every game to PC. Microsoft are, sure, which is amazing - but Sony very much still want to protect their walled garden of consoles. Playstation, more specifically the 30% cut they get of all game sales, and their online subscription fees, are the only thing keeping Sony afloat. If sony were to go full PC like MS, Playstation and Sony would go down like the Titanic.

As for the "there's no reason to own a console", eh I see the point and I agree to an extent but I also disagree. My Series X's UI is just so much better than any PC UI, not to mention the features. Quick resume for one is an absolute game changer, and it's not on PC. Everything that you could ever want to do while playing online is just so much easier to do on a console than on a PC. I say this as someone who plays more and more on PC these days, and wishes I could boot my PC into a Xbox OS type UI.

So, forced Bitlocker, forced obsolescence of otherwise still viable hardware, forced online accounts, and having Copilot/Recall shoved down your throat for the versions of that OS that a normal consumer can legally and readily obtain, make Win11 the best PC OS?

Forced security, oh no.....Forced obsolescence? No hardware is being made obsolete, it will keep working just fine. Forced online accounts that are only needed once for login a single time? Oh no, the horror. Not to mention that the "forced online account" saves your bitlocker encryption key on it, so you can recover your data if your hardware gets destroyed. Copilot and Recall aren't the same thing. They are OS features that you can turn off if you want. Some people actually like them too!

Those aren't the things that make Win11 the best PC OS, they're just things that you don't like that you think make it bad - but you're overlooking everything that make it good.

Can you please help educate me by showing me some of these fascist policies?

[–] FreedomAdvocate -3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (3 children)

Aren't? The Nazi party hasn't existed for almost a hundred years. The National Socialist German Workers' Party - Nazis - were left wing socialists.

[–] FreedomAdvocate -1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (5 children)

All that and still didn't answer a simple question:

What makes them “Nazis” in your opinion?

Which policies are "nazi" policies exactly?

Also worth pointing out, since you clearly don't remember - the Nazi's were far left socialists. They weren't far right.

The AfD have not violated anyones rights. They have a massive following who vote for them, which is growing larger and larger by the day. Banning them from elections is anti-democratic when they haven't done anything to harm anyones rights, nor do any of their policies actually harm anyones "rights".

What policies of theirs do you believe would violate the rights of others?

[–] FreedomAdvocate 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That's not their policies, that's what a biased spy agency said lol. It also makes zero sense as a reason to be "not compatible with the free democratic order".

[–] FreedomAdvocate 1 points 1 year ago (61 children)

And yet, that’s not what happened.

It is though. What do you think happened?

why are they ordering him back?

Because they believe the stay of deportation overrides the illegal alien act that was used to deport him. That's up for debate, and hopefully will go through the courts to get a final ruling - though on the face of it it seems like it doesn't override it, so they were able to deport him.

A few things wrong here:

  1. I'm not blaming it on one person. I'm blaming the entire Labor government and their policies, along with the Greens and Teals who they make deals with to get things to pass.

  2. The article I gave reports on what happened in the senate estimates hearings. Direct quotes are in there. You can feel free to look up what they said in your news source of choice - I simply gave news.com.au because it is the biggest Australian news site and is an aggregator of news from all different sources, left and right wing. Here's one reporting on the same thing but on a "socialist" left wing site: https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2025/03/12/kenh-m12.html Same quotes, same facts and figures.

  3. I don’t know if you’re a bot, an idiot or just disingenuous but your argument is trash.

Rule 5 says hi.

You need to better understand how to separate what is being reported from who is reporting it. When it's direct quotes and verbatim responses with context provided, the site reporting it is basically irrelevant. A quick google of the information in the source I provided would show you that it is all factually correct and verifiable.

As for your personal attacks, grow up. I presented facts and sources to back them up. You dismissed them because you don't like what they said, even though what the article presents is factual.
