I think this is a very useful license to require in new software procurements commissioned by public entities in the EU. The FSFE calls this "public money – public code" (publiccode.eu). Having a specific EUPL over just the GPL might make this look more proper, even if there aren't many technical differences. However for personal use I would prefer using good old GPLv3.

I'm keeping a large distance to hyprland, I have not heard about Omarchy or dhh before, but it does seem very sus from these descriptions. It is disappointing to see Framework sponsor such projects, but we have to take a step back and realize that this is not as important as the 800+ forum replies make it out to be. These really are small details. We need to more often unite around smaller sets of shared values and not hold everything to the absolute highest standards, although having such standards is important in itself.

If you live in Germany, please write to the two ministries who can decide to block the proposal. Show them that you care:

Well done. The sanctions must be directed against individuals of the elite and their families first and foremost to be effective.

"Industrial Genocide and German Tech" is not the headline I wanted to read today.

The table shows absolute values not relative ones, so this only says that cars kill more people because there are more cars than trucks. The table has about twice as many cars as trucks, so if you multiply everything in the truck column by 2, you can kind of compare danger with cars.

And just like that, end-to-end encryption vanishes again.
