This. It depends on what is being done with it. I have an up to date smartphone for work purposes but I hate smartphones and use it for minimal purposes.
People ask me what to invest in and I always say. You can never go wrong with kneepads.
eyup but im over 50 and I never took to popular social media (facebook, twitter, and the new stuff I can't even remember the names) so my social media journey is like slashdot then reddit then here.
Its said its better to give than recieve but for many folks its easier to give than to recieve. Accepting and appreciating something given in good faith is a good thing to cultivate in oneself. Unfortunately we tend to have a culture of mandatory gift giving and reciprocating that tends to result in a lot of junk being created. Its good to have something that is wanted and will be useful. Now if his friend holds it over him in some way then it will ruin the friendship but thats sorta fine as likely it was not a good one anyway, but lets hope that is not the case.

I would say having less and less ability to stand up to corps that control you financially. It just keeps getting worse and worse with fewer and fewer options. I mean yeah there are people behind it but its the corp that gives them power.
Im not worried about how the average pedestrian acts. Its totally the average driver.
Depends on how you look at it. By and large screwed until I get it remotely locked maybe. On the other hand I only have a smarthphone for work reasons and it mostly stays at home and if I have it out its for its phone function and a thief would be hard pressed to find a point where I had it unlocked.
This is something each person needs to decide for themselves. Oftentimes people run out of options. Many black folk just wanted to live quiet lives but they knew that was just not going to be. Its why it was such a big thing that emmitt tills mom had an open casket. Its so people could not lie to themselves about what is happening and will continue to happen without change. Similarly smartphones have made issues with police violence undeniable.
I don't believe that shit but that being said the guy who correlated all the biblical stuff he fit perfectly with was interesting to read. Heck the fact he had two separated terms sorta adds to it. Especially given how bad he is gunning to make it and that the last ended in plague.
