Refugee ships also still get intercepted and turned away from various countries. It is nice seeing the violent bigots turned away for a change, though.

That's a fair critique, I made it sound more like US citizens are snobby for rejecting underpaid, dangerous jobs when in reality the US's base infrastructure still entirely relies on a form of slave labor to persist. I should've been more nuanced with my description.
Yes, if we remove our migrant population then we literally lose the majority of our food production workers. I think it'll also impact our construction work force, much of our factory workforce, our waitstaff, and various other jobs US citizens turn their noses up at - because those jobs literally would not sustain them and would destroy their bodies over time. Most of these jobs are sustained entirely by the desperation of immigrants trying to escape their prior circumstances.
Edit- added more detail in bold to make it clearer the the issue lies in how these jobs are conducted rather than being with US citizens.
Put a harness on your pet and put it on the harness. Boom, instant spoofing.
They didn't tell me how much energy it takes to put your mind to things. I can barely stay awake for a normal day length without putting in the effort.
These kinds of things are not cut and dry, and shrinks are honestly still trying to figure out better ways to cope with grief all the time. Some folks choose to start a new relationship to get over a breakup, others like to just get all the emotion out in one go. It sounds like you're dealing with invasive thoughts, and I've always found keeping myself occupied with things helps me tune them out.
You want to keep your mind off it. It's an emotional wound, and the more you pick at it the more it'll linger. You can come back to this when it hurts less and the situation is more distant, but focusing on yourself for now can do great things.
Exercise, Friends, Comfort. All these help you stay feeling human, and you should make sure to have these three things squared away, since they can help steady you.
Hobbies are great for occupying yourself. You focus on the project and try to just think through it. It doesn't have to be anything crazy either. 100% a game, make a goal out of folding a certain amount of origami crafts, make a scrap book, learn a language, doodle, etc - it doesn't really matter what it is so long as you have something to occupy you for a longer length of time.
Changes in setting can be good, too - but the right kind of routine can also help. It really depends on your preference.
And go easy on yourself. You'll still have episodes for some time, and that's OK.
Not sure why we're throwing the Casio F-91W under the bus for this joke - the thing runs for years on one battery and only shifts off true time at like 1 second per year. They're more accurate than alot of Casio's more luxurious models even.
My microwave deserves the slander, though. Mechanical watches too, though they're still nice to use. Speaking of which, I need to buy a sundial so I can keep my watch accurate after the US and its power grid collapses. Time keeping's such a hassle sometmes.
This could likely lead to a period of no planes flying over these states, since airlines wouldn't want to face whatever fines are stated in these bills, yeah? If any of these pass, it's inevitable that they'll either be ignored or backpedalled on in the future. I imagine they're mostly just virtue signalling and have no intention of actually passing these laws.
There were stages and layers of sex testing within Olympics history, and every time they got mis-classifications they weren't expecting.
We figured out by the 50s that a gender binary was not imperically proveable. Too many variables that varied seperate from each other and often conflicted with each other.
Are you under the impression that the US is the only country with meth? Literally every country mentioned has to deal with meth heads, I assure you. None of them gun those people down. It's a person having a medical emergency, not a rabid animal on the loose.
It's not war crimes because it isn't war. It's the slaughter and starvation of a civilian population. It's genocide.
To be more detailed, The firearms serve another purpose than just returning fire in a gunfight. The coast gaurd often disable the engines of boats they're pursuing by shooting the engine.
Course, these are more just guidelines. How the coast gaurd actually conducts itself is likely adapted to the situation.
