The Star Wars IP is still pretty new for them, so this might be more akin to surveying the media landscape to find where to drill down deeper. They will cut back, but only when they have identified a profitable and concrete course forward.

That said, I'm surprised that Russian-Chinese relations are such that they aren't issuing Chinese-pattern kit to the troops. I guess that'd be too blatant a snub of embargos for the international community.
