Temporary tattoos can help confound identification.
It depends - are their arms broken?
J is superior. Not only is it the most space efficient, it's safe as the recessed plug prevents incompletely inserted pins from being shorted out if a conductor were to fall atop them.
Doing the Lawd's work, Prof!
Lol, wrong about what and how?
If biologists don't study viruses, who does?
Full disclosure: I'm a microbiologist, so I'm curious about where this will go.
Edit: it went to them ignoring my comment.
Tl;Dr: be nice, engage in content, and don't troll, and most people won't be bothered.
It likely won't annoy anyone unless your content itself is actively bothering people. A certain fungally named user posts and comments constantly and I typically enjoy their content, while another brachycephalic canid religious savior does the same but constantly stirred shit so went on my block list. Content good, melodrama bad. People will like you if you are reasonably kind, respectful, and genuine.
Usage time really is a personal choice. I track my usage and keep it to 1.5 hours (2.5 on occasion, like if I'm sick) or less daily. Otherwise, it starts to adversely affect my mental health and personal relations.
I agree 100%. If I want help with something, people are generally kind and helpful on Lemmy. The worst that typically happens is no one responds.
On Reddit, asking for help in a sub specifically created for these requests usually results in being downvoted heavily. I might get a response or even a few, but it's not uncommon to also get mocked and trolled unless my request is unusually interesting.
I recall being in a tough spot in a previous relationship and asking for advice. I got some helpful advice but it also resulted in one user mocking me and encouraging suicide and another user attempting to dox me.
Critical thinking is indeed dead for much of the population.
I do when they're talking about cats, chess, or checkers. That's about it.
Well that's disgusting. At least they're finally being honest.
Reading an article on Musk's erratic, ridiculous behavior from over a year ago makes me pine for the world's previous level of insanity.
