it highlights the fact that these LLMs refuse to say "I don't know", which essentially means we cannot rely on them for any factual reporting.

easy block potential, a dude tagging people from past arguments to rampage about how "Europe is bad actually!" or whatever the fuck nonsense they were arguing about... cherry picking contentious bill proposals and presenting it as some sort of evidence... the mental acuity of a teenager and none of the meme potential. yea I'm gonna get out ahead of this one and make sure you dont randomly tag me on shit either. easy block

You're still American though... if you go abroad and tell people you're German, you're going to be giving a world of false assumptions. Why would it be any different on the internet?

Ideally your answer is a sub that you are currently posting to but few others are posting to.

I see the misunderstanding, sorry. You're still in the wrong though. while you weren't calling it thinking, the article certainly was. THAT'S why we're saying it's not. we're doing what you said we should, but it's the inverse, and you call it anti-AI. the jackass who wrote that article is jumping the gun and we're saying "how tf can you call it thinking" and i see your reply calling that anti AI, seems like a reasonable mistake ye?

[–] TimewornTraveler@lemm.ee -1 points 2 weeks ago

they post articles like that all the time. warnings make great clickbait

[–] TimewornTraveler@lemm.ee -1 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

shouldn't you say the inverse is true lol why call it thinking if we don't know what thinking is or what it's doing?

why are you cool with pro ai and against anti ai sentiments? either way it's a value judgment, quit acting like yours is the correct opinion

wow an AI researcher over hyping his own product. he's just waxing poetic .

we don't even have a good sense of what thought IS, please tell Claude to call the philosophers because apparently he's figured out consciousness

you can't learn from chatbots though. how can you trust that the material is accurate? any time I've asked a chatbot about subject matter that I'm well versed in, they make massive mistakes.

All you're proving is "we can learn badly faster!" or worse, we can spread misinformation faster.

lol your other comment also just says "i wont engage". you say the conversation is emotional but your replies have nothing but grandstanding. ive heard a lot of crazy unsubstantiated claims around Israel-Palestine, but the idea that accusations of innocents being murdered is hamas propaganda is possibly the craziest. what channels are the propagandists going through? whose support does hamas have to disseminate this propaganda? are we done with russian bots now we're onto saudi bots?

i will gladly examine the sources of information and challenge my biases, but you're gonna have to give me more to work with. we have a LOT of info on childrens hospitals being bombed, aid workers being executed, major US news outlets softballing their coverage, etc. What basis do we have to believe your claims? cuz i got news for you: saying that it was okay to bomb an entire children's hospital because it was full of terrorists, that is the propaganda. hamas using civilians as a shield, israel blowing up civilians anyway, how can you point fingers at one and say "that's fine"?

You see an article about a major tech company collaborating with a major world government, and you think the terrorist resistance cells living in dirt are the ones more capable of disseminating propaganda?

What if you're the one who's consumed the propaganda? Where's the money, Larry?
