I don't want it to run a .desktop file. A .desktop file is just like a shortcut, you would probably run the game through lutris with a .desktop file and not the .desktop file through lutris.

My problem was that AmongUs uses a file called AmongUsHelper.exe to log in. Once it opens itch.io in your browser and you allow it, it asks you to open an "amongus" link, In windows it does it with "AmongUsHelper" that's why I am guessing it uses AmongUsHelper.exe. 'Among us.exe' works fine.

The problem with running lutris through .desktop files when you need the browser tho is that the app just opens normally instead of like it holding any info from the website or something and idk how to make it do that.

You mean through lutris? To be clear Among us works fine what does not work is the helper to login. Also idk how to make the .desktop files work on lutris, like when they recieve info from a website I mean, last time it did not work at least.

Also it's the itch.io version not steam btw.

And when I try that it just loads forever. In windows what it did was show a dark window and close immediately. I could also be doing something else wrong. Thanks tho.
