Well there it is: If you can't trust a chatbot to give you an answer to something you do know, you can't trust it with the answer to something you don't know.
Ironically, with the way the GPT router is an LLM that selects a different LLM, AI bros can't even say "you're prompting it wrong." The system is prompting itself wrong.
It may be grimly positive that AI companies start targeting whales for this kind of financial draining, instead of using their unwarranted VC subsidies to give anybody with a cheap ChatGPT account access to the fake romance engine.
And unfortunately, it doesn't look like there's any groups that are positioned to do anything about it. Every single "AI safety" group I've seen is effectively a corporate front, distracting people with fictional dangers instead of real ones like this.
What it did was assemble words based on a statistical probability model. It's not lying because it doesn't want to deceive, because it has no wants and no concept of truth or deception.
Of course, it sure looks like it's telling the truth. Google engineered it that way, putting it in front of actual search results. IMO the head liar is Sundar Pichai, the man who decided to show it to people.
Considering Sam Altman's company plagiarized Scarlett Johansson's voice, it's quite appropriate.
Tax dollars well spent. Instead of the MAGA nightmare of public healthcare (where they think doctors will encourage them to commit suicide), we'll spend $50 billion on private healthcare and give it to companies with chatbots that tell you to kill yourself instead.

Truth no longer matters to these clowns. Who cares about it's true? Who cares that Spotify is already good... And the one thing they can do to is make it worse?
I know we live in a post-truth world, but your aggressive refusal to acknowledge decades (if not centuries) of reality, in order to freak out over baseless fantasy, is a disturbing example of that.
