How much does it cost to run a system that supports it, in 2026 hardware prices? 4B is not the biggest AI model number, but RAM and GPU prices are very daunting thanks to the company releasing this closed-source model

I'm generally okay with a social media ban for children, as long as it doesn't come with extra surveillance as a result. You know, like how the US handled adult websites back before they got all Big Government about it.

With a little extra friction and with a little extra help for teachers and maybe social workers, it seems like a good idea.

Broke: AI will cause an existential threat to humanity (because it's powerful)

Woke: AI will cause an existential threat to its own industry (because it's worthless)

You have no dispute from me there. I just figured I would mention it to people who are already knowledgeable enough that a few switches won't bother them - people already in this thread, probably not on the street

Have you tried asking the puppy to be a better guard dog? That's how the AI safety professionals do it.

Some news sources continue to claim Elon has disabled the generation of CSAM on his social site. But as long as the "guardrails" used by AI companies are as vague as AI instructions themselves, they can't be trusted in the best of times, let alone on Elon Musk's Twitter.

The special thing here is that the hydrofoil uses less energy than your typical boat, and they figured out how to recharge it without expensive infrastructure upgrades. The boat can't go 160 miles without a recharge, but it doesn't have to do stuff like replace a battery to continue on the next leg of its voyage.

It's almost like privacy violations and mass data collection for AI are fundamental violations of consent too

Most website-breaking features can be re-enabled in the Settings menu, in a special Librewolf section

Pocket was originally an extension before Mozilla forced integration and bloated it into something it wasn't. The "something it wasn't" part, Stories, is still Firefox bloatware but without the Pocket label.

At least these features won't introduce any novel security holes! /s

That's what this sounds like. I believe he did something similar by creating shares and transferring them between "X" the Twitter app, and xAI.
