I see NY Post and it's an immediate downvote no matter the headline.

Fuck that Murdoch-owned rag.

Yeah, this place isn't Reddit; there's not a culture of ironic fascism to hide behind on Lemmy/ Piefed.

It's part of why I like it here.

It's kind of funny that he thinks people don't know that he's a reactionary wet fart. Anyone who watches the stupid side of the threadiverse with any kind of regularity can see the pattern.

He thinks he's being subtle, but Lemmy smells out right-wing bullshit better than most places on the Web. Nobody likes what he's selling.

Hence the quotes and the statement that it means they're conservatives.

She's such a reactionary-centrist piece of shit.

Perfect comedic timing though when she just got done calling out extremists like Carlson and Tate, and then it cuts to a wide shot with Ben "the vagina dessicator" Shapiro sitting right next to her.

Anyone who thinks the "center" is the place to be in this political environment is just a conservative who doesn't want to say so.

That's alright, billionaires don't have to be here to pay back what they've stolen from society.

I really hate when people call them "skeptics."

Skepticism is a questioning attitude or doubt toward knowledge claims that are seen as mere belief or dogma.

They're the dogmatic ones; there are multiple converging lines of evidence showing that man-made climate change is a real danger; to deny that is not skeptical, it's delusional. It's motivated reasoning. It's believing a lie because the billionaire propaganda machine told you to believe it.

They work really well in third-person games for camera control. I beat Elden Ring on a Steam controller; you have a lot more speed and precision than with a stick.

Forgive? Absolutely nothing.

But if they acknowledge they did a horrible thing and want to work to make the world a better place in light of their horrible decisions, I'll work with them. But I'll never forgive.

Hell, they gave Henry Kissinger one. That basically means it's worthless.

Yup, they don't need a reason, they need an excuse.

Give me your wordplay and obscure culture references, I love them all.

Someone should invent a way to get a video file off of a phone without cracking it open and letting the Internet leak out.

From the Wiki:

PICO-8 is a virtual machine and game engine created by Lexaloffle Games. It is a fantasy video game console that mimics the limited audio-visual capabilities of 8-bit systems from the 1980s to encourage creativity and ingenuity in producing games without being overwhelmed with the many possibilities of modern tools and machines. Such limitations also give PICO-8 games a particular look and feel.

Coding on the PICO-8 is accomplished through a Lua-based environment, in which users can create music, sound effects, sprites, maps, and games.

Users are able to export their games as HTML5 web games or upload their creations to Lexaloffle's official BBS where other users are able to play the games in a web browser, and view the source code. PICO-8 games can also be exported as executable programs, which will run on Windows, macOS, or Linux.

Do you have a favorite game on Pico-8? Have you ever tried to make one yourself? Do you like the idea of a fantasy console?

Do you have any tips?

I just started playing around with it myself, and one thing I like about it is that you can immediately jump to various editors for anything you play on it. It seems like an interesting way to make a small game.

Obligitory "I have to use it for my job," so let's commiserate.

It's the worst program in all of the Office Suite. MS wrote the goddamn OS and email client, but for some reason if I have two instances open for two different inboxes and try to pull one up on the taskbar, the wrong instance will pull up every single time without fail.

My runner-up complaint is how when I use the search bar, sometimes it'll forget what I'm doing and when I hit enter it'll open some email instead of executing the search.

Every update makes it worse, so what drives you crazy?

In the tech sense- what is your favorite way that someone has used systems in unintended ways to do something cool?

I like the one where a guy used a wiimote for head tracking.

I'm a fan of braunschweiger on butter crackers. Top-tier snack food.
