I've been spending my free time (more often, insomnious nights) reading and watching how to build and manage a kitchen garden. While I don't have a community garden near by, I do have space for a few planters to help offset some groceries or improve my diet.

I enjoy making things, whether in wood, metal, or printed plastic. So, I'm able to cut a lot of extraneous spending by just making what I need/want. It's a hobby of its own, so I get enjoyment from it.

Pretty much, if I want or need something, I'll learn how to make it myself. Recycle as much as possible. Scrap supplies often get turned into makeshift tools if nothing else. The solarpunk communities tend to be great resources on how to thrive with so little in this regard.

As to actually enjoying life? I found happiness joining art communities (specifically in VR) where creators share what they do best! There are very many lovely individuals with a lot of talent and these communities have been nearly all positive. It also builds a lot of inspiration to make stuff, too; feeding back into my own hobbies.

Maybe check if the Z height is accurate at these layer heights. Take a feeler gauge stack and get true measurements to compare where the machine thinks it is at. It wouldn't hurt to clean and lubricate the Z screws/bushings.

If that's all good, try different cooling. It's possible it's underextruding because it isn't handling heating/cooling properly so close to the build plate.

I had this exact same output on a Makergear M2 and never found the root cause, but I either over extruded if aesthetics mattered or left it as is and lived with it. One day it suddenly wasn't an issue anymore. I have no idea the fix as I did a major maintenance breakdown where I cleaned and lubricated everything that moved, changed filament brands, upgraded the nozzle/cooling, and swapped the build plate from glass to PEI on mic6.

I'm not sure I understand the need for charging to play media on a private server when not on the local network. Why is this no longer going to be free? I'm glad I bought a lifetime pass many many years back but I definitely wouldn't pay for Plex nowadays with alternatives being comparable. What a silly choice they made~
