I'm 100% for light electric vehicles.

Golf cart is for the lol but it really checks all cases and for now all LEV are no more than fancy expensive golf carts, see Citroen Ami or la Bagnole.

Really hope to see more of those things riding the streets. Maybe in the future, cars will be banned from cities and let in the large open spaces where it belongs (where trains can't go), and those LEV will complete the offer for inner city transportation in the form of short time rentals, like scooters and bikes do currently.

If it works like the washing machine in Gattaca, there is a neat risk that it doesn't end well.

I recommand to watch this -now old- movie by the way

It is not new but we need permanent reminders to not buy these stuff.

An other reason to avoid buying stuff from them is that 80% of their products are illegal or out of EU regulation, like toxic components in kids toys, from a recent survey from french customs, after someone reported pedo sex dolls on shein online store.

In rural protected areas : outdoor activities like hiking biking climbing picking edible stuffs in the forests.

In small cities : not much.

In rural crops area : dying from pesticides at 50.

uuuh in winter we have things like cloths, even warmed gloves and boots when really cold ? Go in Montreal to figure it out, some are biking there even in winter.

I am pulling stats out of my close area, national stats are : For distances of less than 5 kilometers, cars still account for 60% of commutes. Less than 5 km can you imagine ?

Just put your ass on a bike instead of your fingers, and just try to do things

Yes it is.

Because it is handcraft compared to car industry (85 millions/year), and not subsidized at all.

Now how much costs a car ? Not only the price, but globally, if you include health impact, infrastructure needs.

I don't think it is laughable.

A new cargo is 5000€ and you can find used or discounted ones for less than 3000€.

A used car will cost far more in repairs, insurance and gas, my 2010 car is valued around 3000€ and it costs us around 1000-1500€/year.

I don't think bikes can replace cars for everyone, but many people could use a bike instead or their car 95% of the time, when we see that so much people use a car for less than 5 km.

Only concern is safety to use a bike in the middle of fast cars, but a proper infrastructure (separated bike lanes) solves it for a fraction of the cost of roads and parking places.

A friend worked at amazon for a short time, they sent small stuff like 1 chips package.

I guess some people are very lazy.

Or don't want to take the car after drinking/smoking, which is a good thing.

Model Y are made in germany, I guess that's why they are popular in europe, now some countries give subsidies only if EV is made in europe
