Thanks for the heads up! I have a couple of things where I just ignored the WiFi casually thinking it didn't matter because I wasn't going to connect, but shit I never considered the security liability... (Or are they bluetooth?...time to assess...)

When something becomes "second nature" like writing, it is impossible to know exactly what your brain is doing to do it, because it is doing it automatically without you being consciously aware. (I think that is what some other comments mean in calling it "muscle memory".)

So asking people this is not going to get you reliable answers, it is going to tell you what people think their unconscious brain is doing.

However the word you just wrote is right there in front of you, and you know mentally what word you just wrote, so seeing or knowing that there are t's and i's that need completing, seems pretty much a no brainer. Of course this is the sort of observation we use to make up answers about what our brain must be doing...

I'd be interested to know how often people miss their dots and crosses.

I'm trying to imagine which action hero would be the best candidate for taking over a cockpit by dual wielding collar stiffeners, and can't come up with anything.

Are you sure it's not what other sounds are occurring around the words affecting the sound? How we pronounce t and s can vary quite a bit, even in the same word when it occurs differently, with different sounds right before it after or even different stress placed on the word based on the context.

Does there have to be a so? I appreciated the context tho it didn't change my reaction to the meme. Context info is always good, what we do with it is up to us.

I'll give a highly biased answer: fuck the whole, tired conventional consumerist diamond ring custom. Find something not necessarily expensive that would be symbolically meaningful to you both.

In the word 'croissant' it sounds a lot more like English W than English R (as well as very different from R in other French words).

The longer he lives, the more time he has to live with the consequences that catch up to him.

Yes different languages use different sets of characters, most of them overlapping in the case of Latin derived characters. It would be vastly less convenient if there was a completely different set (with mostly the same characters) for every single language. And what about variants over time and region and dialect? So it is much better to model them as subsets of the same larger character set. Note that À and Á are different characters with different Unicode symbols.

The human world is messy with lots of inconsistencies and irregularities, particularly from pre-computer times because humans just deal with them and tolerate mistakes. This is a challenge for modelling properly in computer systems. It does not surprise me that there are even bigger challenges around this for Kanji / Hanzi.

From an open source perspective, this is how things are supposed to work, humanity making progress by standing on each other's shoulders... Of course they want the rest of humanity to help them, with government subsidies, investment from our retirement funds, etc.

Putting a piece of tape (perhaps duct tape, or electrical tape) over the holes will probably keep them from unraveling further.

Now they'll have video proof that Jesus was white. And had 7 fingers.
