This and people tend to respond to cognitive dissonance by rationalizing / repressing awareness. I've voted for less bad candidate, now I'll convince myself that was actually a good thing.

I have one drink most nights. At most it relaxes me a little, but mainly I just enjoy the flavor /sensory experience.
I understand the pleasures of the experience of getting drunk, but pursuing that is a losing proposition. Over time it gets harder to achieve the pleasurable effects and the negative effects come on faster.
(I meant to post this as a top level comment. Since I left it here I'll just add that I'm lucky enough to be someone who can stop, though there have been many times I didn't have the sense to. After drinking too much, my body tells me No the next day. I've known people who's body tells them to have another drink the next day. I've been lucky.)
When artists imagine new things, they don't generally ask people what those things are as if they must be a thing that really exists in the real world.
The animation you created does resemble something I've seen in, I think, a sci fi movie (I don't recall which). I've also seen, in real life, small desktop models resembling this (again I can't point you something specific, but I'm picturing it in brass). It appears to say "RJ II". OP, are you adding this to paintings you post images of, or is it coming from your source? This was on another painting you posted an image of (different artist) a while back, I remember trying to use that to figure out the painter.
