Who needs the leftover quarter bag of shredded cheese anyway.

I do the same with anything that comes in a can. I'm not going to use a tenth of a tomato paste tomorrow. It goes in today.

Good recipes take that into account.

I doubt that cars and car infrastructure would be allowed today if we weren't already knee-deep in the shit they cause.

It's probably the worst invention ever.

Something like 9/10 of the tire dust and also wear on roads are from trucks.

Personal transport is much less. It's not negligible, but the difference between fossil or electric fueled is basically just a talking points. The weight is the cause of increasing tire dust, and modern cars are all heavier than before regardless of fuel.

The kids are going to be alright. They grew up with phones and learned in schools that there are times when it's inappropriate to use it.

I'm much more worried about the older people who have absolutely no etiquette for phone usage.

When my teenager has friends over they literally stack their phones and do whatever they met up to do.

When the grandparents come over they sit and fiddle candy crush and Facebook like their life depended on it.

It's called "popliteal" in English, sometimes but uncommonly shortened to "poplit".

Finland has not been communitarian in the coloured areas since the end of the 1800s. Perhaps the native Sami people further north, but not elsewhere.

In my experience, the entire continent have nuclear families except for parts of Italy and Greece.

The correct sentence is "what does it mean?"

As far as I know, Russian doesn't use the auxillary verb "do/does".

In many languages, the "do" is often a included in the case itself, meaning that it will be part of the word "mean", as also suggested by the usage of "means" instead of "does mean".

I suppose another construction could be "It means what?"

Shit dissolves better. Food (generally) has more fats and oils that will stick and clog the pipes..

It's the same pipe.

To be fair.. most of those sights are piles of mud with sign posts.

For tourists I'd rather recommend the cold war museum, the original Lego land, the beaches on the west coast, hiking along the east coast fjords, the lakes at Silkeborg, the desert at Skagen, the ruins at Kalø, the various nature reserves.

There's plenty of stuff to see. May, June and August are the best times to visit. The rest of the year has unpredictable weather.
