Yes, then it wouldn't hit as close to home. (But then, that was their goal.)
Have they improved their electric and other utilities so that they don't collapse in the slightest breeze? Or are they still doing stuff like this as a distraction
I mean you can... you can't commit genocide if all your people are dead.
But that still involves genocide, and maybe this is a hot take, genocide is bad. So we shouldn't take that option.

Personally I just use latest and forget about it.
I doubt they've completely covered every important language. And from what I've seen, their speech recognition quality is terrible. So obviously there's still room for improvement.
And language changes over time, though maybe not much on these timescales. But even if the curriculum officially covers 100% of a language at one point in time, the language is still going to drift from that snapshot.
