Yeah, di$cord has definitely been speedrunning the deterioration of their platform.

It's a shame because they started as a darling of the gaming community with a lot of loyalty when people were switching to micro$hit like $lack and team$.

I guess capitalism and endless growth don't actual translate to improved products for the rest of us. Go figure.

It'll be nice when our species moves to decentralized platforms like Matrix, but every day we wait is another day I don't get to enjoy it.

Contrary to popular belief among useful idiots, copyright and patent laws are not there to protect the working class.

If copyright and patent laws actually protected workers, why have we not seen rulers fight back against them until now?

This should be eye-opening to most of you, but that would involve admitting you were wrong.

Most people can't do that.

No, it's not like saying that.

Please stop trying to use rape as a way to get an emotional response for something unrelated.

Rules for thee, not for me.

I thought copyright and patent laws were supposed to protect the little guy? Looks like as soon as they protect the little guy from big business, they stop mattering.

It's almost like, they weren't there to protect the little guy which is why big businesses never fought back against them.

I guess the useful idiots were wrong, again. Color me not-surprised.

Any exec saying remarks like this should be old yellered.

And their offspring if they grow up to be the same or worse.

SEO is scummy.

Texas is a shithole that only exists to serve businessmen at this point.

That's why elon and republicans love it so much.

Every day more people feel like they have nothing to lose.

It's only a matter of time before they direct their ire towards the ones who put them in that position.

They know these things are going to kill people; it's just inevitable.

Engineers are well aware of there being a cost-benefit analysis for saving human lives. O'Grady from Practical Engineering did a great video explaining how much a human life is worth to engineers. I think it was a little under $60k.

The purpose of reducing government oversight as much as possible is so that the cost of killing people is as low as possible.

It's not an on/off switch of government regulation. They know that every additional policy they can shift in their favor will translate to increased profits down the line as people inevitably die from these things.
