Funny you should mention that, Nextcloud originally forked off OwnCloud due to drama.

I think the server is working, it's basically OwnCloud Infinite Scale but rebranded. Not sure about the client apps, those might be work in progress still. I haven't really kept up with it either though

Many of the people who worked at OwnCloud Infinite Scale are now at OpenCloud due to disagreements between them and the company which purchased OwnCloud.

So what if your tiny site is offline for a bit. It's not like you're selling anything and the people will find an archive link

You can use host_vars to set different variables per host. You'd still run the same playbook against both hosts, but each has different services activated.

  1. Make the folder host_vars in the repo root
  2. Make subfolders for every host with their hostname
  3. Enable services you want by writing the variables into a yaml file for your host (any file name as long as it ends with .yml
  4. Write an Ansible inventory for your hosts
  5. Run the playbook with your inventory

Slightly fancier would be using group_vars instead, you can add a host to multiple groups. Then deploying the same services on a new hosts would simply be adding it to the group

AFAIK Faiphone 4/5 and OnePlus 6 are in a very good state on PostmarketOS and continually improving. I don't think it's unrealistic to say we'll have fully working devices in half a year - year with the amount of progress that's happened since the PinePhone and was boosted again by the original Google announcement.

Good, but I still don't trust Google and I really want Linux (you know what I mean) on my next phone.

It's trivial to find most VPN traffic by looking at some packets. No idea why they need AI

Reminds me of this HackerNews classic how you don't need Dropbox and all functionality can be replicated trivially using FTP.

Glad MPV works for you, shut up about the gatekeeping

It annoys me that the title in the first graphic is expressed the opposite way to what the legends mean and you have the actual meaning just below. Seems like a very bad choice of wording.

I think yes, as long as it only sees within your private property.

But that's the perfect opportunity to round up all the neighborhood children /s

A Russian official said the American billionaire Elon Musk could be offered political asylum in Russia over his fierce dispute with Donald Trump

Dmitry Novikov, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, made the comments to Russian state news outlet TASS.

"I think that Musk has a completely different game, [so] he will not need any political asylum, although if he did, Russia, of course, could provide it," Novikov said, in remarks translated from Russian.

Musk and Trump, ostensibly political allies over cuts to federal spending, publicly clashed on June 5 in a series of exchanges across social media and in comments to reporters.
