Yeah years of practice sounds right adding up but I don't associate this immediately with meditative states or purposeful cosmic traveling stuff. Kind of a blink during something else
Aphantasia here as well, at least with active, intentional, picturing. But practicing has made progress and that's why a clear experience from elsewhere is super interesting

But the key difference here is that the center is distinctively empty, it's somehow important. The rotating shapes are flat discs probably with mass, lot rings. Their planes are non-reflecting void and the edges reflect as "rings" from the light source
Lol artists conduit stuff like this all the time and don't need to see doctors about it. One could make a case that it's like dreams connect different memories in your subconscious to process them to build a new connection. Or how problems get solved at work, gather enough context and one day you're doing something else and it all clicks. It's a normal thing, you just probably don't recognize it as well.

Well all through humanity's history there's knowledge that "imagination" molds "reality" so the difference is do you make a fantasy story of a truth you received from creativity etc etc
