extra funny when you consider that Balin and Dwalin are brothers.
wow that's a lot of words. so, basically, you want a term to say 'i'm straight, but i'd never date a trans person', but you want it to somehow shield you from any suggestions that you might be somewhat transphobic, and you want it to free you from any obligation or expectation to introspect and unlearn the transphobia that society has programmed you with?
capitalism is the system whereby greed is raised above all other human impulses though. in most other systems, sure, people can be greedy, but they aren't rewarded for it, and people who aren't naturally greedy don't get pushed and trained to be greedy as the highest aspiration.
i can only speak for my experience. growing up autistic, i was targeted due to my different ways of thinking and acting for bullying, using the r-word to belittle and demean me, far too many times, for hearing it used to mean 'bad' to feel like anything but an attack on me or those like me. when someone uses the r-word casually, it hurts, and a fully automatic system, borne of hard experience, files that person away as a probable threat. i don't understand why people want to use the word so badly, knowing it hurts people, and knowing it's not necessary or even all that useful of a word.
closer to 25%, actually. about a million voted for trump, out of about 4 million total oklahomans. regardless, this article isn't about trump voters specifically getting fucked over, and rueing their own stupid actions and choices, this is about elderly and disabled people throughout the country, regardless of their voting history, getting fucked over. seems off topic for the sub.
this doesn't really strike me as a 'leopards ate my face' moment, unless we're just meant to assume everyone living off of social security voted for cheeto hitler. or is this community just becoming a place for laughing at the misfortunes of united statesians in general?
tbf, acting like everyone having employment is a prerequisite for freedom is a pretty damn liberal attitude.
harsh. why?
